CONVENTIONAL RADIOGRAPHY

Refers to non-contrast conventional radiology examination, such as simple Roentgen (X ray) on numerous positions.

This examination may be performed on several organs, such as the heart and lung (thorax) as well as bones.

Conventional radiology examinations with contrast uses Roentgen (X ray) along with contrast substance to help indicate abnormalities to enhance diagnosis.

For example: barium meal & enema for gastrointestinal examinations, intravenous urography and cystography for urogenital tract examination, hysterosalpingography for gynecological examination, sialography for salivary gland examination, angiography/venography for blood vessels examination, lymphography for lymph vessels examinations, myelography for spinal cord examination, etc.

CT-Scan (Computed Tomography)

CT-Scan is a sophisticated X-ray examination using computer analysis in order to obtain more detailed image and three dimesional images. This examination is performed on many organs, such as the head, thorax, abdomen, and on many cases such as trauma, tumor, infection, etc.

MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging)

MRI is an examination performed using magnetic wave to obtain more detailed body images (especially soft tissue). This examination is performed on many organs, including the nervous system, muscles and joints, biliary system, etc.

USG (Ultrasonography)

Ultrasonography (USG) is aform ofexamination using the waveof sound. This examination is especially performed to show abnormalities in the abdomen and muscles on numerous cases, such as trauma and tumor.

Nuclear Medicine

Scintigraphy (nuclear medicine) is an examination using radioactive substance injected into the body. This is highly effective in showing the functionalityof organs, such as the thyroidgland, bones, kidney, etc.

This examination is performed by experienced physicians specializing in their respective field.
