Overview

The Integrated Inpatient Unit Building A was inaugurated on May 8 2008 by President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono. The 8-story building, consisting of 169 treatment rooms, and a total capacity of 645 beds occupies a building area of 26,000 m2, making Building A the largest Inpatient Unit in Indonesia.

Change management is implemented in Building A, aimed at achieving improvements in service quality and the implementation of patient safety to fulfill patient centerness (focus on customers) and patient satisfaction (customer satisfaction).

The basic principle of service management in Building A is to shorten business processes by making changes to systems, culture and information and communication technology. Integration in Building A's business processes is carried out in all aspects of service, including business processes in the fields of financial management, medical record services, pharmaceutical services, nutrition services, housekeeping services as well as information technology and management information systems .

Building A's service process business consists of core patient service business processes starting from receiving incoming patients, medical and patient nursing care as well as financial safety processes . This care service process cannot be separated from the educational process for medical, nursing and non-medical students.

In carrying out the core service process, Building A receives support from service process support units, both internal support units with quality management process control functions by top management and external units to support the process, including the Medical Department.

In order to ensure that all service processes run well, the management of Building A carries out a quality audit process internally and externally. This is proven by the success of maintaining ISO certification, both ISO 9001: 2008 and ISO 9001: 2015, since 2009. As well as involvement in achieving JCI International accreditation at Dr. Cipto Mangunkusumo . Communication, role models and active actions have become a culture implemented by management and the team so that the continuous improvement process continues in service.

"We are a quite complex unit because apart from providing class III, II and I inpatient services, as well as special class inpatient services (VIP and VVIP), it is also an educational area for medical science, nursing and other skills as well as research which is managed in an integrated manner. integrated"

Building A also has various superior services which are supported by medical personnel, nurses and other health workers who have been certified with special competencies. The superior service units in Building A are: Treatment of kidney and liver transplant patients, Special Stroke Treatment Room (Stroke Unit), Airborne Diseases Isolation Treatment Room , Reduced Immunity Isolation Room (RIIM), Sleep Disorders Observation Room (Polysomnography/PSG) and services Apheresis.

Services in the field of Neuroscience (Sleep Disorders and Stroke Treatment Room)

Located on the 5th floor of Building A, this service is carried out by trained nurses and under the supervision of specialist doctors with special competencies.

The Integrated Sleep Disorders Service was initiated by a team consisting of several specialist doctors from several medical departments, namely the Department of Neurology, Department of ENT, Department of Internal Medicine (Pulmonology Division), Department of Pediatrics, Department of Psychiatry and Department of Anesthesia.

Care of stroke patients is also an important part of services in the field of neuroscience considering that stroke is still ranked first as a non-communicable disease that causes death in Indonesia and third ranked cause of disability in the world. It is hoped that with the existence of special stroke care services, life expectancy and disability risk control can be increased.

The stroke treatment room is prepared with special standards for stroke patients so that patient care and rehabilitation can be carried out in an integrated manner, such as special beds for stroke patients, preparation of parallel bars in patient rooms, safe bathrooms for stroke patients and special wheelchairs for stroke patients.
