Overview

 

The Intensive Care and Burns Installation (IPILB) is a treatment installation that provides services to patients who need intensive care and burns patients, facilitated by sophisticated equipment and technology. IPILB services are equipped with facilities such as ultrasonography, Continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT), Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenator (ECMO) and other tools that support services. 

 

Services in Intensive Care and Burns Installations are carried out by health workers who are competent in their fields. IPILB is part of the services of Dr. Cipto Mangunkusumo has received recognition from both national (KARS) and international JCI accreditation surveys . IPILB has become a center for education and training for all multidisciplinary services related to intensive care installations and burns. The development of intensive services continues with plans to provide data registry for intensive services, telemedicine services with network hospitals, Academic Health System ( AHS ) , and other hospitals in remote areas.

 

Currently intensive therapy and burn services are located in the Emergency Room ICU, Kencana ICU, HCU/ICU Burn Unit, Kanigara Adult ICU and HCU Building A. In 2024, it is planned to develop integrated intensive care with a capacity of 34 ICU beds and 50 HCU beds in the building. sunflower.

 

 


 

 

Installation (IPILB) consists of several main services:

 

  • Adult ICU with a capacity of 17 beds in the Kanigara Building, 8th floor

  • Burns Unit with a capacity of 9 beds consisting of 3 burns ICU beds and 6 burns HCU beds in the Kanigara Building, 8th floor

  • 1 bed OK room specifically for burn patients

  • Post Anesthesia care unit (PACU) with a capacity of 4 beds in the IPBT Kanigara Building, 5th floor

  • HCU Surgical with a capacity of 9 beds in Building A

 

 


 

 

Post Anesthesia Care Unit ( PACU) Services :

 

Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) is the newest service owned by IPILB to manage post-operative patients with general, regional anesthesia and other anesthesia procedures. Previously PACU was located on IPBT on the 5th floor of the Kanigara building and had a capacity of 4 beds and had operational hours until 22.00. Since February 23 2024, PACU has increased its capacity to 7 beds and is operational 24 hours.

 

 


 

 

IPILB Innovation

 

In 2023 IPILB received the RSCM Innovation award by presenting an innovation in the use of Meshed Skin Graft using the Manual Fold and Cut Technique as an Alternative to Wound Closure in Burn Wound Patients

New Services

 

Skin Transplantation

 

Burn cases in Indonesia have a fairly high mortality rate, at RSUPN Cipto Mangunkusumo from 2013-2017 it reached 25.8%. In conditions of extensive burns with limited donors, alternative measures need to be taken. The action that can be taken is to carry out a skin transplant. IPILB has started Skin Transplant services since early 2024.
